For those of you who think you cannot endure the very idea of prom, let me tell you that you are not alone. Proms are ridiculous and are an American tradition that I for one could do without. I told my kids many times that proms and everything about social life in high school is ridiculous. We laughed at Pretty in Pink. We laughed at everything about proms and high school. Steve work Chuck Taylors to prom. High school is the silliest time of a person’s life and prom the worst of rituals.

But this isn’t that kind of prom. It’s poetry prom. It’s about celebrating poetry and being silly while we do it. It’s about launching the Kickstarter. I can’t wait to see you there.
