Morning comes early

When you have been on the East Coast, and you come West, morning comes early. You feel morning come to you on its little feet, nudging you, pushing you out of bed.  Morning says you are ready.  Ready for what?  You say.  Ready for the spinach of time.  The artichoke of day.  The radish of readiness.  Morning is coming toward you.  Morning is your bedfellow. And you are now the plaything of the day.
