through dense sunlight and the thicket of party.

I’ve run eight miles a day the last three days.
Today I am going to a book launch party for Scott Timberg’s book Culture Crash: The Killing of the Creative Class. I know it’s going to be a great book, and I can’t wait to buy one.

Then I am meeting my friend Karen and we’re going to their house afterward. Party. Sushi. Sake. Pool. Hot tub.

Easy day.

A lot of work this week. Going up to Kernville for a meeting and staying the night.

Darlene staying with us Wednesday night.

Last night was a great party at Blasé and Theresa’s house. The Malibu couple were interesting.

To be a writer in California, you have to find your way through dense sunlight and the thicket of party.
