I ran the Paso Robles marathon today.

It’s weird how tired your legs feel afterward. They feel like spaghetti noodles. I am going to keep running marathons, keep training, keep writing, it is something I can do for myself that feels bigger than being nothing. Running is ephemeral but it changes the way you feel against the sky. Writing is solid. You write on cave walls and you leave the mark of the buffalo chase there and future generations know that you chased down the buffalo and you were victorious. Chase the buffalo. Run in wide circles. Write big stories. Paint in red paint the story of the chase.
