California May Issue IOU’s to Welfare Recipients? Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keep it together!

July 1, 2009

Arnie, keep it together, keep it together, keep it together.  You need to work together up there in Sacramento.  Spend less on prisons.  Decriminalize marijuana completely in this state, we just can’t afford to put those little pot smokers behind bars with the economony of this state floundering, let’s focus on putting them through community college so they can get jobs.  Let me give you one little cost saving measure.  The state of California pays twice for health care for hundreds of thousands of people.  My ex and my children are covered by the state twice because we are both employed by the state.  This would be the case whether we were married or not.  Multiply us by the hundreds of thousands of state employees and that’s huge savings.  The health care paid per child is expensive even for Kaiser and they have dental too.  Find every bit of waste like that and eliminate it.  Cut the budget for prisons not schools.  California used to be a great state.  The people living in the big houses need to pay more property taxes.  That is the solution.  Not IOU’s for welfare recipients.

  1. I was agreeing with you right up to this point:

“The people living in the big houses need to pay more property taxes.”

Wrong. California has tried that. They’ve overtaxed the rich. Want to guess what happened? All the rich folks in California started moving out of the state to avoid the taxes. And with them went the majority of California’s tax revenue.

Why should we keep punishing successful people for being successful?

  2. 54 billion dollars in FY10 for public education in California. With that amount of money, these should be the most incredible schools in the nation… They’re not – a lot of them are crumbling, and a lot more are graduating folks that are functional illiterates.

Cut the budgets for prisons AND schools. Cut the taxes on individuals. Remove regressive sales taxes.

Californians are among the most taxed people in the nation. We don’t get value for our money.

Recall/fire all elected state officials. Repeal all propositions. Dissolve all unions for state employees.

It’s time to reboot this state.
